PSE’s mechanical engineering team is second to none.  Our team members work on high profile projects for companies and agencies such as Rio Tinto, Northrop Grumman, Hill Air Force Base and PacifiCorp.  We pride ourselves the broad base of experience we have on both large- and small-scale projects.  We provide engineering to a wide range of industries including mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, municipal and commercial clients.  Our team has expertise with studies, planning, design and construction oversight.

Civil | Structural

Our civil and structural engineers have decades of experience providing engineering for municipal and private structures, public utilities, permitting, site planning, public roads, capital facilities planning and construction management.  In addition to our expertise in timber, concrete and composite design, we also offer structural analysis, seismic analysis and design and finite element analysis.  Our civil team provides sewer, water, transportation and storm drain design as well as site designs. 

Electrical

PSE began as an electrical engineering firm. We excel at planning, design, construction management and commissioning services.  Our projects include large- and small-scale distribution systems, lighting projects, substations, power plant upgrades and support to the solar industry.  We provide arc flash studies, load analysis, and other electrical studies.

Controls | Automation

Our highly skilled controls and automation team works on exciting cutting-edge projects.  We have assisted multinational companies with upgrading their labor-intensive production processes to incorporate the latest technologies and unique robotics to become more efficient and remain efficient in global markets. 

In addition to designing and programming systems, our automation team has expertise in telecommunications, advanced network systems, virtualized network servers, optimization techniques, the Internet of Things (IOT), cybersecurity, and other operational technologies. 

Our UL508 panel shop and controls laboratory provide additional resources that allow PSE to provide a total solution for our client’s needs for automation, robotics, communications and networks in a secure environment. 

Project Management

We have a team of seasoned and well-trained project managers who can efficiently and effectively oversee both large and small-scale projects.  We manage projects from inception, through concept development, design and construction, finally ensuring that commissioning is successful for pilot projects, full scale facilities and facility additions/upgrades.  Some of our most exciting projects are the startups we assist in bringing their concepts to market.
