PSE engineered and provided construction management support for a complete power distribution system comprising 28 facilities along the Wasatch front in Northern Utah and into Wyoming, including several 138kV/34.5kV substations. Design of the facilities included transformers, switchgear, controls, and primary protection. PSE provided procurement of fittings, cable, fuses, transformers, and conduit switchgear, and provided construction management support throughout the project.
The scope of work included: PLC relay control systems, 138 kV/34.5 kV substation design including relay protection, switchgear design, grounding grid design, wiring diagrams, and specifications for transformer testing. It was also necessary to engineer steel transmission line towers, substation support frames, equipment foundations, and site grading and drainage analysis.
