As a Structural Engineer, you can expect to:

  • Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria

  • Analyze complex problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures

  • Represent respective projects at meetings and conferences

  • Prepare home office discipline estimates for mid-size projects and complexity

  • Plan, organize and supervise the work on mid-size projects.

  • Evaluate the progress of the staff and results obtained and recommend changes to the department manager or supervisor to achieve overall objectives as needed. May be assisted on individual projects by other engineers or designers/drafters

  • Assignments may include extended, but temporary out of town assignments

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • EIT or PE License Preferred

  • Experience with post tension concrete (1-10 years)

  • Knowledge of the capabilities of various computer software packages and automated engineering and design equipment in order to effectively direct their use for diverse engineering assignments

  • Coordinates well with lead designers in all disciplines to implement design work in compliance with applicable codes, specifications and accepted engineering standards and procedures

  • Understanding of basic Caesar II, HYSIS (Aspen+), and AutoCAD preferred
